About the Owners

We have been married for over 30 years, and have three children and one grandchild. With combined university degrees and experience in Business & Education, our love of children & strong family values, our passion for learning & education and our commitment to supporting parents, we are well equipped and proud to offer you an outstanding quality preschool.

When we say we are “family owned”, that is what we mean. Alphabet Academy is one of two preschools that we own, allowing us the time to be hands-on. Bonnie is often working alongside the educators with the children and Andrew, when not in the office, is often found in the garden with a hammer in his hand. The children, who refer to us as Miss Bonnie and Mr Andrew, regularly delight us with their artwork or stories of their adventures. We welcome their questions, encourage them to predict answers, to think critically and work together to find answers.

We are committed to ongoing improvement through critical reflection and by empowering our educators, through regular professional development opportunities that support an inquiry-based approach. We are grateful for our team; for the dedication, commitment, and passion they put into each day.
